League of legends has been around since its release in October of 2009.  This has given them over 12 years to design and release new champions and new skins available to purchase to players.  How much it would cost to buy all the league of legends skins is a complicated question that we are going to look at figuring out!

This is a tough question to nail down as not all are available at all times, some are discontinued and League skins pricing has changed throughout time as they are always running discounts and incentivizing purchase of certain skins.  There are also certain rare and unavailable skins which either aren’t available for purchase or have specific requirements in order to get the skin such as in game events and quest completions.  For the purpose of this exercise we are going to say that these Unavailable and Rare skins fall into the premium content bucket and will have an assumed Riot Point Price of 3,250.  As of October 2022 there are 1,453 skins in League of Legends.  Below is a detailed breakdown of the costs and number of skins in each category along with a calculation of the total cost in RP.

When starting league of legends with a new account you would not only need to buy the skins but the champions themselves.  New players have two ways of purchasing these champions.  Blue Essence is a system that players can earn blue essence through gameplay attaining free loot in League that contain skin shards which can be disenchanted for blue essence.  The process of earning this blue essence through gameplay is often slow and time consuming so many players will opt to buy Riot points and pay to own the champions they enjoy playing.  As of October 2022 and the release of K’Sante there are 162 champions in league of legends.  Riot Points to purchase champions range from 260 for older common champions to 975 for the newer released popular champions. The total amount of Riot Points needed to buy all 162 champions is 127,915 which when buying our points at $.008675 would run you an additional $1,109.66.  This free to play game is starting to require some serious money making new users pick and choose which content they want to pursue with their hard earned dollars.
